InvestEngine allows you to start a 'Savings Plan' with as little as £20. However, we still require all Managed portfolios to have a minimum of £100 invested. After which, you can invest as much or as little as you like.
Most banks restrict recurring payments to £5,000, although this may be lower in certain circumstances. We recommend you check any online payment limits directly with your bank. This can usually be found on their website, and in most cases in your mobile banking app.
Please note: The maximum you can top up each tax year in a Stocks and Shares ISA is £20,000. You can have a 'Savings Plan' set up to pay into your ISA portfolio with InvestEngine, however, our system will not allow you to top up more than the annual tax year allowance of £20,000. Once the payment takes you over your ISA limits, your deposit will be stopped and placed into a General investment portfolio. From there, you will be able to stop your Savings plan and decide what to do with your funds.
With the changes to ISA rules implemented since the beginning of the 2024/2025 tax year, you may open multiple Stocks and Shares ISAs with different providers, however, be sure not to exceed your £20,000 tax year allowance.
