Your SIPP transfer will automatically be invested in the next trading cycle after it’s applied to your SIPP managed portfolio or if your self-managed (DIY) portfolio has the Auto-Invest feature switched on. You can read more about trading cycles here.
A SIPP self-managed portfolio without auto-invest switched on, won’t invest the cash transfer. You will need to manually do this by selecting the ‘Invest’ button on your portfolio dashboard.
In-specie transfers can only be applied to self-managed (DIY) portfolios and the assets will remain invested throughout the transfer process. Once the assets have been added to your portfolio, you will need to adjust the target weights. This will not initiate any buy/sell orders unless you request this manually or rebalance your portfolio.
