How do I set up a recurring payment?
You can set up a recurring payment to regularly add money to your InvestEngine portfolio.
Recurring payments are managed through your Savings Plan. Depending on your bank, your payment may be set up using either:
- Commercial Variable Recurring Payment (C‑VRP)
- Direct Debit
Setting up a recurring payment
To set up a recurring payment:
1. Log in to your InvestEngine account.
2. Go to the portfolio you want to fund.
3. Open your Savings Plan.
4. Choose how much you want to add and how often.
5. Follow the instructions to confirm the payment method.
6. If prompted, authorise the payment through your bank.
If your bank supports C‑VRP, this may be the default option shown during setup.
What payment method will I use?
The payment method available depends on your bank.
If your bank supports C‑VRP, you may be able to set up a faster Open Banking payment.
If your bank does not support C‑VRP, you may need to use Direct Debit instead.
How long do recurring payments take?
C‑VRP payments are designed to be faster than Direct Debits.
Direct Debit payments usually take 3–5 business days to become available.
Can I change my recurring payment?
Yes. You can update your Savings Plan from within your InvestEngine account.
If you’re changing payment method, you may need to cancel your existing arrangement with your bank and set up the Savings Plan again.
