At InvestEngine, all buy and sell orders are processed once a day during our trading window. Here’s what you need to know about how and when your orders are handled.
Our Daily Trading Cycle
We process orders every UK working day after 2:30 pm.
- Orders placed before 2:00 pm (UK time) will usually be included in that day’s trading cycle.
- Orders placed after 2:00 pm will be processed the next working day.
You can place or modify orders at any time, but changes made after the 2:00 pm cut-off will apply to the next trading day.
Why Do We Trade Once Per Day?
This approach allows us to keep costs low and pass those savings on to you. It also helps us batch trades efficiently and provide fractional ETF investing, which is a key part of our platform.
How Will I Know My Order Was Placed?
You’ll receive an in-app notification or email once your order is submitted and again when it has been executed. You can also check the status in your portfolio dashboard.
Can I Cancel an Order?
Yes - but only before 2:00 pm on the day of execution. After that time, your order is locked in and cannot be cancelled or changed.
If you need to adjust your investment plan after that point, you can update your portfolio, and the changes will be applied from the next trading window.
