InvestEngine has welcomed the support of investors through crowdfunding, allowing early adopters and advocates to become part of our journey. If you’ve taken part in one of our crowdfunding campaigns, here’s what you need to know.
What does it mean to be a Crowdfunder?
By investing through a crowdfunding platform (such as Crowdcube), you’ve become a shareholder in InvestEngine (UK) Limited. This means you own a small part of the company, not a client portfolio- and your returns depend on the future success of the business.
You do not have direct access to InvestEngine investment services just by being a shareholder, you'll need to sign up separately if you'd like to use our platform as an investor.
Shareholder rights and information
- You own equity shares, which may give you voting rights and entitlements if the company pays dividends or is sold
- Your shares are held and administered by the crowdfunding platform (e.g., Crowdcube), which acts as your nominee
- Any key updates, such as company performance, annual reporting, or shareholder actions- will be communicated via the crowdfunding platform
For the most accurate and up-to-date information on your shares, refer to your Crowdcube (or other) account.
Staying informed
We aim to keep our crowdfunders up to date through:
- Regular shareholder updates via your crowdfunding platform
- News and product updates shared through our blog and email newsletters
- Annual company updates or relevant shareholder notices
If you believe you’ve missed a recent update or need help accessing shareholder information, please reach out to support@investengine.com.
Got a question?
