Transferring an ISA to InvestEngine is free of charge - we won’t charge you any fees to move your money or investments onto our platform.
Your existing ISA provider, however, may charge fees to leave their platform, depending on what you’re transferring and how the transfer is handled.
ISA transfers may have implications for your investments. Please consider all factors before deciding to transfer.
No transfer fees to InvestEngine
We don’t charge for:
- Receiving a Cash ISA transfer
- Receiving an in-specie ISA transfer (where eligible ETFs are re-registered)
- Creating a new portfolio to receive a transfer
- Transferring from multiple providers
You’ll keep your full ISA allowance - and you won’t pay anything to us to transfer.

Possible charges from your current provider
Some ISA providers may charge:
- Exit fees for closing or transferring your account
- Trading fees if they need to sell your investments to complete a cash transfer
- In-specie re-registration fees for moving ETFs directly
These charges depend entirely on your current provider — check their ISA terms or speak to them directly before requesting the transfer.

Tip: Ask your provider for a fee breakdown
Before submitting your ISA transfer request, it’s a good idea to:
- Check if any exit or admin fees apply
- Ask if there are in-specie re-registration charges
- Confirm which ETFs (if any) they can transfer directly to InvestEngine
This can help avoid surprises — especially if you're transferring a large portfolio or holding assets outside of ETFs.
