You can cancel a DIY order before 2:00 pm on a business day, which is the cut-off time before trading starts. Trading begins from 2:30 pm onwards.
How to Cancel an Order
To cancel an order, follow these steps:
- Log in to your InvestEngine account.
- Select the portfolio where you placed the order.
- At the top of the portfolio, look for a blue banner that says ‘Orders placed’.
- (If you're using dark mode, the banner may appear less bright.)
- Click or tap ‘Orders placed’, then select ‘Cancel these orders’.
Please note:
- You can only cancel all orders in that portfolio — individual orders can’t be cancelled separately at this time.
When Can You Cancel?
- You can cancel anytime before 2:00 pm on a business day.
- After 2:00 pm, the orders are locked in for trading starting from 2:30 pm.
- You can also cancel at any time over weekends or bank holidays, as trading doesn't take place then.
Need to Make a Change?
Once your order is cancelled, you can place a new one. If you do this before 2:00 pm, it will be included in that day’s trading session.
